VENICE – CONTARINI DEL BOVOLO PALACE, EXHIBITION “EZIO GRIBAUDO – ITINERARIES: NEW YORK, VENICE, TURIN”

27/11/2019

Theke @ Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo (Ve): exhibition “Ezio Gribaudo – Itineraries: New York Venice Turin”.

As part of the events for the 90th birthday of the artist Ezio Gribaudo, Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo organized an exhibition that celebrates him, exhibiting works that retrace an itinerary that touches on three important stages for his work: Turin – his hometown – Venice – where he won the prize for graphics at the 1966 Biennale – New York – the city that marks the culmination of his friendship with Lucio Fontana following the presentation of his book at the Martha Jackson Gallery in New York.

The Bovolo exhibits paintings, documents and photographs that trace the artist’s career and the works of the artists that Gribaudo meets during his career: his friend Lucio Fontana, Giorgio de Chirico and Karen Appel.

The exhibition takes place over a period of time that starts from 1961 and arrives at the end of the 1970s, telling the story of a provocative and multifaceted character.

The construction project and the direction of the works are by the architect Giovanni Di Vito of the Studio Vitruvio, for which we have created the exhibition structures under the Theke brand. The graphics of the exhibition were designed by Chiara Grandesso.

The exhibition is open to the public from 11/15/2019 to 04/30/2020.
