VENICE – CONTARINI DEL BOVOLO PALACE, EXHIBITION “EZIO GRIBAUDO – ITINERARIES: NEW YORK, VENICE, TURIN”
Theke @ Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo (Ve): exhibition “Ezio Gribaudo – Itineraries: New York Venice Turin”.
As part of the events for the 90th birthday of the artist Ezio Gribaudo, Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo organized an exhibition that celebrates him, exhibiting works that retrace an itinerary that touches on three important stages for his work: Turin – his hometown – Venice – where he won the prize for graphics at the 1966 Biennale – New York – the city that marks the culmination of his friendship with Lucio Fontana following the presentation of his book at the Martha Jackson Gallery in New York.
The Bovolo exhibits paintings, documents and photographs that trace the artist’s career and the works of the artists that Gribaudo meets during his career: his friend Lucio Fontana, Giorgio de Chirico and Karen Appel.
The exhibition takes place over a period of time that starts from 1961 and arrives at the end of the 1970s, telling the story of a provocative and multifaceted character.
The construction project and the direction of the works are by the architect Giovanni Di Vito of the Studio Vitruvio, for which we have created the exhibition structures under the Theke brand. The graphics of the exhibition were designed by Chiara Grandesso.
The exhibition is open to the public from 11/15/2019 to 04/30/2020.read more >
PALAZZO ZABARELLA (PD)
Padova, 26th October – 1st May 2020
At the request of the Bano Foundation, which follows the exhibition project, we have created customized display cabinets designed to showcase some of the most prestigious private collections in the world, including over seventy masterpieces by Edgar Degas, Eugène Delacroix, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh; this is the private collection – later made public – by Paul Mellon and his wife Rachel “Bunny” Lambert, two of the most important patrons of the last century.
The works come from the Mellon Collection of French Art from the Virginia Museum of Arts and will be exhibited in the evocative setting of Palazzo Zabarella in Padua from 26th October 2019 to 1st March 2020.
The set up made by us includes:
- 1 case 84x200cm with base in Corian col. Diamond Blue and glass bell containing one of the most famous works by Degas, “La Piccola Ballerina, 14 years old”, ca.
- 4 cases 54x160cm with base in Corian col. Seagrass and glass bell containing the famous equine sculptures by Degas
- 1 case 74x180cm with base in Corian col. Athena Gray and glass bell containing the largest sculpture among those depicting horses made by Degas

After stopping off at the Florence, Turin and Milan venues, the Exhibition arrived in the Lagoon on 22nd June 2019;
for its design and construction, the Exhibition saw the collaboration of students of the three-year courses in Interior Design and Media Design and of the continuing education course in Corporate and Private Events.

Dform Theke | Nordest Economia, 05/20/2019
Theke appears in the Nordest Economia insert of the Messaggero Veneto dated 05/20/2019 with an interesting interview with the owner, Michele Filippi; during the article are explained the origins of the brand, the specific sector in which it operates, the specificity of the products offered and are described the symbolic works of the brand, such as the Royal Palace of Naples and the Pallottino Museum of Melfi.
In addition to the work already done, mention is made of future projects, on which the production of the new Bookshop for the Scala del Bovolo and the preparation of the exhibition in honor of Gribaudo, always at the Bovolo, prevail.
The article then reports a series of statistical data, citing the fact that 40% of Company turnover currently comes from sales abroad, a margin on which an increase is expected in the immediate future, mainly in the UK market thanks also to the participation in the largest museum association in the Country.
In conclusion of the article it is reported what can be considered a bit the leitmotiv of the Company, that is the fact that focusing on technological innovation, on the quality of raw materials and manufacturing and guaranteeing a good customer service it is possible to face any variation of the market conditions and always remain perfectly at the forefront.read more >
